Sally is a resin artist from Weymouth, Dorset. Her love of the ocean was instilled at a very early age as her father was a local boatbuilder and keen yachtsman. She has travelled the world following her passion of windsurfing for many years and used this inspiration to re-create ocean waves in epoxy resin.
Resin art is created when epoxy resin is combined with various color pigments and additives to produce a blend of unique patterns and textures. The resin mixture is then heated with a blow torch to create the wave effects. It is left to gradually harden (when mixed with a hardener) to a solid plastic as a chemical reaction between its components takes place.
