Katherine Stainton

Katherine Stainton

Katherine Stainton is an English artist with a strong interest in group wildlife. She is dedicated to the construction of rhythmic colour composition in her work, to create balance and a sense of harmony in order to reflect the effortless nature of animal groups, and their ability to survive as one.

Katherine also has a strong interest in portrait work, most likely inspired by her late grandfather Norman Neasom. Katherine splits her time between styles.

'My favourite time, when not behind my easel is time with my family, walking and enjoying the Dorset coastline where we live.  Much of the inspiration for my ocean work was ignited during four years spent living in mainland Spain, surrounded by the med and a vibrant mix of Spanish and international culture. This was where my ocean themed pieces were originally born and I decided to bring them back to Dorset with me.'
