Jenny Hunt
Jenny enjoys combining her love of nature with her passion for writing and art. She gains her inspiration from Dorset’s unique countryside and coastline.
In 2018 her facsimile sketchbook, A Year on Chesil Beach, was published. It features different locations along the Chesil bank throughout the year and has sold over 1,000 copies so far.
Jenny’s botanical art has been exhibited with the Society of Botanical Artists. In 2016 her collection of poetry and prose poems was published – Sea Wall (a journey along the South Dorset Ridgeway) illustrated with her own lino-prints.
After being runner-up in the BBC Wildlife Magazine Nature Writing Competition in 2011 and 2013, she was invited to be a Local Patch Reporter and now writes regular nature blogs as @chalkpebble.
She enjoys beach-combing, drawing her finds and creating 3D pieces from driftwood.
