Christine is a Dorset artist based in Dorchester who has a passion for painting the sea.

She aims to create art that uplifts your sprirt through colour and subject matter with the hope to inspire you to explore the coast and countryside that is featured in her pictures. 

Christine studied at the Salisbury College of Art and went on to pursue an eighteen year career in Graphic Design in London, before returning home to the West Country, where the beautiful land and seascapes have inspired her to put down the computer mouse and pick up the brushes.  

Seizing  the opportunity of living so close to the coast, she likes to study water in its many moods and forms and to use this in her art. 

Painting mainly in acrylic, due to its  perfect ability to capture the movement, energy and light of the sea, Christine, likes to paint her subject from unusual angles focucing on patterns and movement. 

The results are these vivid seascapes that perfectly capture the movement of breaking waves.
