Jan has painted and drawn all her life, and from a very early age, was making 3 dimensional objects, in whatever modelling material was available. She studied sculpture for three years, and after graduating, set out on her own taking comissions for sculpture, painting and drawing. 

 She has taught sculpture, in further education.

 Jan has lived in Upwey, Dorset, for 25 years, with her husband Keith, with whom she set up a studio and workshop.

All Jan's work, whether 2 or 3 dimensional, is influenced heavily by nature, and natural forms. Her carefully studied paintings convey her interest in composition. 

Jan produces paintings in watercolour, oils and acrylics. 

She has sold work in the UK, America, Australia and Japan. Jan has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, and is pleased to have shown work with the Society of Portrait Sculptors.
